This is us
We are Voltaire and Ves, a husband and wife photography team. We love photographing weddings, elopements, and families together. We specialize in journalistic lifestyle photography capturing honest connections and raw emotions during special moments of your life.
What I love about documenting weddings is that it brings me back to October 9th 2015 when I married my best friend, Maves. I see the nervousness and excitement of each couple as they get ready with their groomsmen and bridesmaids; those are the moments I love to capture. Another moment I love to document is the first look. The emotions it brings to each couple make a great photo because those are the times when they realize it is becoming a reality and it’s about them from here on out.
When I’m not out on the field or editing, you will find me binge watching Netflix and HBO shows with Maves. There's also something about those reality shows that Maves and I get hooked on. Yes, I watch a lot of television including watching the Jets and the Lakers lose which is becoming too often nowadays. Okay that’s not all I do, I also go out for a hike or run with Maves and be adventurous. For instance, trying out some local craft beers or going to local coffee shops for some gourmet coffee.
I want to thank you for visiting our page and I can’t wait to hear some of your stories.
Hi name is Maves (pronounced Muh-ves) aka "Ves."
I’ve met so many wonderful brides and it always puts a smile on my face when I capture their reactions while they are getting ready. What I love about photographing weddings are the stories that friends and family share. I’m often in tears (of joy) when I hear heart felt speeches and everyone’s journeys. The father and daughter dance is one of my favorites since it takes me back to when I danced with my dad at my own wedding and I also reminisce on how I was raised.
When I’m not documenting special events or editing photos, you will find me in my workspace doing what I love the most and that is calligraphy. It gives me great satisfaction knowing friends and family appreciate my work. I remember working on signs for our wedding and how much fun I had with all the DIY’s. Also, when I’m not doing calligraphy, you will find me with Voltaire going for a run, a hike, or just having conversations with him at our local coffee shop.
Thanks for visiting our page. I can’t wait to hear your story and we would be extremely honored to be there for you on your big day.
